Pictured below is the intrepid group of brave golfers who set out to complete 18 holes of par golf as part of the MALONE Group Cooper Cup last Friday. After a dry and sunny start to the day, big dark clouds rolled in and released their contents, with the ferocity of a power washer, drenching all those hardy souls on the course. Shelter was sought in cabins and under trees and eventually, with no let up in the rain in sight, we had to abandon the game.
For some, it was a relief that it was over, even though they had only completed a partial round, – no more questioning their life choices. For others, who were just starting a streak of birdies, it was a disappointment. Great fun was had by all, however, the Cooper cup remains unclaimed this year.
