China introduced CSAR for all cosmetics manufactures exporting goods to China. The regulation brings cosmetics production facilities up to standards broadly similar to food and pharmaceutical plants. Malone Group was asked by a global cosmetics company to help them achieve compliance from an engineering perspective at three plants located in Canada and Great Britain.

The first step was to
define what compliance looked like. Secondly, we zoned the
facility into ‘clean’, ‘quasi-clean’ and ‘general’ as per the
regulations. Working with the various site teams these areas were
refined. We undertook 3D scanning of the facilities and generated
3D revit models so that we could demonstrate conceptual solutions
in 3D and thus improve both communications and
understanding.
