PSDP for Laboratory Building and Cold Stores

This project is a new build project of a two storey office and laboratory facility on a brownfield site.

As this project involves the construction of an operating manufacturing plant, particularly care is required during the design process to ensure manufacturing operations are not affected.

As PSDP we worked closely with the client and provided the full list of services identified below.

An initial site visit was carried out and a meeting was arranged with the client. The client was briefed on their duties under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013. We assisted in the appointment and notification process.

In consultation with the client and project designers we developed a preliminary health and safety plan for the tender process.

We coordinated and reviewed design risk assessments associated with the project. Part our role as PSDP was also to liaise with the PSCS to ensure they were in compliance with their statutory responsibilities.

We also allow for monitoring of safety performance during construction phase, ensuring construction issues are dealt with at the design stage. The final part of the process was the handover of the completed safety file.
