Interpretation of New Safety Legislation

Equipment and Facility Legislation is updated on an ongoing basis and this can impact on the operation and maintenance of production facilities.

Our Engineers and safety specialists look at the requirements of the new legislation and guidelines versus the existing site procedures to propose a workable plan for implementing any new requirements.  This involves categorising equipment and facilities under the relevant legislation, questioning if the equipment falls under the regulation and if existing installation, operation or maintenance meet the requirements of the regulation.

An example of this was for a lower Tier COMAH pharmaceutical manufacturing site where a review of piping integrity requirements was carried out.
