The project involved the installation of a new 4,000kg/hr and relocation of existing two 500kg/hr steam boilers to a purpose built boiler house complete with steam generation equipment and subsequent steam distribution pipework system. The distribution pipework system fed a number of industrial sized ovens, kettles and soup generation rooms. It also fed a domestic hot water steam heat exchanger and associated high pressure pipework distribution system. The services design inclusive of the above consisted of connecting to existing natural gas, compressed air and water distribution networks within the existing production facility. The production facility continued to operate whilst the new installation was complete with a seamless transfer of services.

Project Benefits
We offered a M&E
design package around the boiler house and associated steam,
condensate and hot water distribution systems. Steam pipework
design and an energy efficient condensate system recovering as
much as possible was achieved to drive energy savings for the
customer. We also offered an alternative outcome to domestic hot
water use and generation for the customer, as they found that they
could not maintain temperatures with their cleaning regime within
the production facility.
