This project involved an obsolescence survey of HVAC plant throughout an API site. This focused on plant criticality, availability of support and spare parts. In parallel with this we looked for opportunities to reduce energy intensity through heat recovery, addition of heat pumps in lieu of chiller and steam boiler applications. As the site had operational changes over successive owners, we challenged the approach to mechanical and environmental treatment of areas to ensure all options were presented to the site’s management team.
Once the approach was agreed, we developed a URS, then front end and detailed designs of upgrades in production facilities as part of a suite of projects.
Once approved we managed project administration, procurement, cost control, construction support and validation.
