Providing more sustainable technical solutions is possible. It helps when governmental policy either forces or encourages these better solutions. However, when companies take a longer term, more holistic view of their projects, they may find that it makes more sense to choose the more energy efficient, less water usage, circular solution even though they may appear to cost more.
As last week’s US Supreme Court decision shows we can’t always rely on governments to provide that guiding light and need to take responsibility at industry level.
